Narrative Description of Project

World Health Organization sponsored a study in selected districts of M.P. and Gujarat. Vimarsh implemented this project with an aim to look critically into the family welfare policy, programme and organization as being implemented at PHC level and to inquire the sufficiency of PHC functionaries in terms of knowledge to achieve family welfare goals. A research design was prepared for the study and 12 districts in the two states were selected as the sample for the study. Interviews were held with 288 Health supervisors, 864 Multi Purpose Workers, 864 Dais, 864 Village Healthy Guides and in all 3060 respondents were interviewed. Data after collection was edited and entered which was followed by the process of data analysis and interpretation. A report further to the study was submitted yo World Bank to mark the completion of the study.
